Updated to V4, July 12, 2022, to fix image map path problem.
Updated to V5 to fix "Hull Exterior Basic Metal" material preset, so it will now load without error message, July 18, 2022.
Updated to V6 to fix bad call to missing UV set, July 15, 2024.
Note: If I revise this model and re-issue it, I will increment all instances of the “V6” to “V7” and so on.
BACKGROUND
This rover is designed by Vajrablue.
The original mesh by Vajrablue is available on Blendswap.com
Vajrablue gave me permission to offer my Daz Studio adaptation for free.
Moving parts:
* Doors open.
* Door-mounted ladders move down/up.
* Airlock control levers move down/up.
* Wheels roll.
* Wheels can move a little bit up and down to simulate suspension.
* Wheels can steer.
(The steering approximates Lankensperger / Ackermann steering angle relations of real cars.)
* Seats slide, swivel and tilt.
* Consoles tilt up and down.
* Joysticks wiggle.
* Directional antenna spins.
Many of these moving parts are best actuated using the control properties I made for them in the
"Parameters" tab of the rover as a whole.
They are:
Steer < Left / Right>
Hull < Lower / Higher >
Roll < Bckwd / Fwd > -- could make animating it easier.
Door, Right < Close / Open >
Door, Left < Close / Open >
Door, Inner Cabin < Close / Open >
But the door ladders, seats, consoles, joysticks, airlock levers, and heights of the wheels
are best moved by the property controls of these individual parts. « Less
Hope to see it in some animations someday.
