In this month's issue of 3D World, you will find a copy of Carrara 5 Pro.  This is issue number 100.  If you want Carrara 5 Pro for free, you have to purchase issue numbre 100.  I picked up my copy at Barnes and Noble for $16.  According to the magazine, this software originally sold for $549, and this is the full product, not a demo.  It comes with a license for commercial use, and will run on both the PC and the MAC.

Okay, you have to buy the magazine so it is not totally free, but hundreds of dollars worth of software for just $16 is prettty good deal.

I do not remember which forum I was reading when I heard that issue 100 would include Carrara 5, but it did not state when it would hit the stands.  It is here now.  I have not installed it yet, so I cannot give you  an evaluation of the software.
