Well the only problem is, that you can clearly see the brush and clone stamp when you tile the texture. But.....
How about (in case of a brickwall) cut out a variety of single stones..a larger amount, so that they do not repeat too early. Then make a layout mask in black and white of where exactly to place the bricks and finally create mortar layer (via blur) under the bricks. merge down all bricks on one layer. I assume that you watch which bricks are at the edges and you use the same at the other end. then offset this bricklayer and just add final touches carefully with the clonestamp. idealwise you don't use it at all. This way you get rid of the visible blury grid on the wall.
