This mesh based upon the iconic "manta ray" design by the late art director Albert Nozaki for the 1953 release of "The War of the Worlds" produced by the "Puppetoon" creator, George Pal. The mesh itself was sculpted in Blender by Winchel D. Chung Jr. and he's graciously permitted its conversion to Poser format and share it with the 3D community. Thank you, "Nyrath"! Special thanks goes out to John "Thalek" Whiting for rigging the mesh so that the famous heat ray elements can tilt, swivel and flex as depicted in the movie. Since the design is copyrighted by Paramount Pictures (the studio that made and released the 1953 film) I must regretfully insist you do not use this mesh in any commercial ventures. Studios "usually' turn a "blind eye" to "fan art", but they will protect their interests if it appears someone is trying to monetarily profit from their property. Just a fair warning.
