thanks - again! - for this awesome invention! ^^

Glad you like it. You shouldn't need to import anything. To bring the worldball into DAZ Studio it's simply a case of running a script (see the third promo image above for the steps, with screenshots). Although I don't think I made it clear that you need to be looking under the "Poser Formats" section of your "Content Library", not the "DAZ Studio more …

This is a cool idea. It took me a bit to figure out how to bring it into Daz (I imported the Poser file), but I like the look and feel. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for sharing this worldball. I have been looking for something like this for a long time!

Don't forget the thread on the DAZ forums (the link's at the bottom of the description, top right of this page). There's some extra hints there if you run into any problems.

This looks very good, I can't wait to give it a try. Thanks very much for sharing.

1st July '13: Updated to Version 1a - just a correction to the readme. You need to copy the CONTENTS of the 'Studio3/4 ShaderBuilder Light folder', NOT the folder itself! And you also need to copy them if you use BOTH Poser and DAZ Studio

19Jun: Just had feedback that the POSER WorldBall doesn't work on a MAC. The same issue MAY affect the DAZ Studio version as well - feedback would be invaluable!

With the various versions of Windows and Studio requiring different installation targets, and the mistake in the ReadMe, I'm relieved that some people managed to get it working!
I'm also getting some useful feedback on the DAZ forums, and I'm adding some hints on use there - see link at the bottom of the main description above

Nice thanks!
just to note - i couldnt get it to work in "My Library" location mentioned in the readme, but after copying the content of DS content folder to an external runtime i have it works fine ;)
bangner (12 years ago)Inappropriate?
Working great on DS3. Should come in very handy indeed. Thanks very much!

Hmmm... this got a one star rating from somebody, so I guess there are some issues with it...
It would be interesting to know what they are - that way I can try and fix them! And don't worry, my ego can handle the battering - I like constructive criticism!
3DCheapskate (12 years ago)Inappropriate?
Whoops! Just spotted a mistake in the ReadMe. It should tell you to copy the CONTENTS of the 'Studio3/4 ShaderBuilder Light' folder, NOT the folder itself! That would explain marcoio's problem (I think)
3DCheapskate (12 years ago)Inappropriate?
marcoio: it sounds like DAZ Studio's not finding the WorldBall IBL at render time - see the fifth promo image above (I've just added it) for more info. First check to see whether you're getting the warning in the log file. Then check whether you copied the the 'Studio4 ShaderBuilder Light' folder to the correct place. If you think you have it in the right place but still more …

Thank you so much

Thanks! In Ds4.6 the light seems low, so the figures and props in scene are dark...
