Driven by his hunger for the creation of extreme visual effects, Diego Grimaldi left his hometown of Italy to make himself known as an FX specialist in Los Angeles, California.  Now with credentials on the internationally acclaimed shows, “True Blood” and “Once Upon A Time,” Diego has submerged himself in caliber theatrical visual effects and pristine animation, establishing himself as a reputable artist with household names such as ABC studios and HBO, as well as with figures and studios paramount to the film industry.  Diego has proudly cherished the title of FX/Particle Dynamics Artist at the renowned Zoic Studios in Culver City, CA, which notably specializes in television shows, feature films, commercials and advertisements.  His borderline obsession for realistic effects has become his greatest weapon as he continues to successfully recreate elements of natural phenomena in a digital world.  With credentials on projects such as “Troll: PSA,” “The Hunted,” “Typewriter’s Café” and “Nekko,” he is quickly accelerating his career at an unmatchable rate with relentless project consistency.  Diego's comprehensive objective for every project—be it television show, short film, or internet series—is to create graphics nearly indistinguishable between real life and digitally formed effects.  “When the audience cannot discern between reality and computer generated effects, that is when I know I’ve completed my job,” says Diego, who is also a senior visual effects student at California State University, Fullerton.  “I constantly compare my pieces with feature films that demonstrate stunning visual effects, both practical and computer generated.  I refer to movies to guide me in progressing in my own skills and qualifications as an FX specialist.”   He has a high passion for exciting visuals such as fire, explosions, various forms of destruction, smoke, liquids, and other extreme effects that not many can execute as precisely and efficiently as Diego has demonstrated.  With a natural artistic thought process, keen eye for caliber effects and execution, and sizzling abundance of skills, Diego Grimaldi continues to secure himself as a significant FX artist as he sets fire to the film industry one project at a time.
