The City of Aurora, Colorado, Implements Intergraph®'s Computer-Aided Dispatch, Mobile for Public Safety Software

Intergraph's Public Safety Software Enables Aurora to Improve Communication and Speed Response

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Aug. 21, 2013 — (PRNewswire) —  The City of Aurora, Colorado, has implemented Intergraph® computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and Mobile for Public Safety software for the City's 9-1-1 communications, police and fire departments.

Intergraph's software enables call-takers and dispatchers to communicate with police and fire units and allows field personnel to receive and acknowledge dispatch messages, view incident details and informational databases, and provides easy access to dispatch report data. Call-takers and dispatchers can view the location of police and fire units within the city, allowing for electronic map-based routing.

"We are proud to partner with the City of Aurora to advance multi-agency collaboration and strengthen resource management," said Jay Stinson, vice president, Intergraph SG&I. "By employing Intergraph's proven public safety technologies, Aurora personnel will have access to real-time information where and when they need it."

Located near Denver, the City of Aurora serves more than 335,000 residents and answers more than 400,000 emergency calls per year. Intergraph will also provide Aurora with failover capabilities at a separate physical location to ensure continuous operation and access to all CAD data and system functions in the event of a catastrophic failure of the primary location.
