This is a Gurkha Khukuri prop for Poser. It is my first Poser Prop. The Gurkha Khukuri is the traditional knife of the Gurkha people of Nepal. The knife is used in combat as well as day to day utilitarian tasks like skinning game or cutting firewood. An interesting legend about this knife concerns the belief that once it is drawn it must not be sheathed again until it draws blood lest the owner incur bad luck for himself. I'm not sure where the myth originated frankly but as noted above it's used for everything you would use for example a bowie knife to do. This knife was modeled in Truespace 4.3 and made into a Poser Prop in Poser 6. Inside the Zip package you'll find the readme file and the runtime files. You may use this prop in all renders public and private and redistribute it provided you follow the guidelines in the readme file. I've placed the prop in the category 'Limited use with credits' but this only applies to redistributing the prop. Any other use in private or public or even commercial use need not be accredited though it would be appreciated. The prop is not perfect and contains certain inconsistencies in the mesh since my skills at texture map creation are limited. (If you can provide any help with making custom texture maps I would appreciate any insight as this is largely the problem preventing me from creating other props.) Consider this prop a thank you to the Poser community at ShareCG. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed supplying it. Here I'd like thank Temujin for spelling out the correct spellings of the names of the knife and the people that make them. I'm always happy to learn. Thanks.
