Gurkha Khukuri knives typically include a set of small, simple companion knives which fit into their own small cases inside the sheath. One is called a Karda and is sharpened to allow activities such as eating and shaving while the other, known as a Chakmak is left dull to burnish the blades of the other two knives with. These companion knife props are add-ons for my Gurkha Khukuri prop. Please Note: I have changed my usage rules for my content to make it redistributable within certain parameters. Please read the runtime to one of my later works for details. You will notice as in the sample image that there is a flaw at the top of the sharpened knife's handle. I tried to fix this but couldn't seem to. Some of you guys out there are Photoshop Wizards. If you want to tinker with the image maps and try to get rid of the flaw please be my guest; and if you want to redistribute the fixed maps go ahead. (Just credit me for the originals please.) Enjoy Also a special thanks goes out to Temujin who pointed out the proper names of the knives to me. Thanks for the help. I'm always happy to learn.

Many years ago, I was given an old, bone-handled blade resembling these. Hellenic rather than Himalayan, but convergent evolution.
After a while, we noticed it had faint engraving. Cleaned up, this proved to be a line of verse in an archaic dialect, which could be read several ways: 'Care, I am sharp', or 'Always point me towards a friend'.
Thus, it became known more …
can you edit your text with the following spellings :
Gurkha
Khukuri = main knife
Karda = utility knife
Chakmak = sharpener
I already have two Khukuri props, downloading yours as well anyway, since, in Gurkha units and Nepalese culture, there is a wide range of styles of this family of weapons.
Thankyou
