This is the first in a series of planned midieval weapons props for Poser. It is called a 'fantasy' mace because it isn't based specifically on any particular factual style but probably most closely resembles a midieval German type. When most people think of a mace they generally think of a large iron ball studded with spikes and attached to a wooden handle via a length of chain. This is actually referred to as a flail. True maces are thought to extend back into prehistory in one form or another. This mace has a radially symmetrical head with ten blades plus a long piercing spike on top. The shaft is made of a good hardwood so it wont break in battle and it has a sturdy wire-wrapped grip so it won't slip out of your hand when whacking a monster or dark knight. WARNING AND DISCLAIMER: This mace is not approved by the European Association of Dragonslayers. Not responsible for any dismemberment and or immolation resulting from improper use of this weapon! The prop is shown rendered with the Millenium Dragon and Zygote Knight characters from DAZ (Not included.) To use just load the mace into your scene and place it in your character's hand. It's pre-textured and pre-scaled. I scaled it using M4 as the size reference. Whack away! ** The content of the package is the same but I've updated the way it's packed up. It's now supplied in a simple Zip package instead of a Self Extractor.
