Up for auction: one vintage non-working raygun from Planet X. Evidently when it was still functional it fired some sort of concentrated light beam which was not particularly powerful nor impressive. History records that our Disintegrator Guns defeated them easily. Now that I come to think about it, it looks remarkably like a toy; not very fearsome at all. Why am I auctioning this thing off at all for that matter? Ah, well. I'll just give it away. Who wants it? Any takers? I LOVE rayguns. What we now term 'Directed Energy Weapons.' Where would Science Fiction be without them? From the simplistic, flashy looking laser pistols of yesteryear to today's high-tech plasma guns. I love them all. This is my second raygun prop after the Demoleculizer. I love rayguns so much in fact that I'm working on a whole family of them so expect more to follow. This raygun is a vintage old school type which follows the tradition of those found in the old era pulp magazines. Since it's a classic design it's textured to look the part: Chips in the paint, rust and corrosion on the bare metal and little pits and nicks in the rubber of the handle give it an age-worn and distressed look and yet it's in overall good condition; a real collector's piece. The package includes the raygun and a walnut stand with a brass border. The gun is supplied pre-scaled in two versions-one global and unparented and one parented to the base. Also supplied is a hand pose for H3 to depict him holding the gun and another H3 pose to depict him displaying it, as to a visitor. All necessary textures are included and the prop is shaded with raytracing and displacement so for best results check these on during rendering. The props render a bit slowly but not agonizingly so. Enjoy.
