TomTom Reports Second Quarter 2015 Results

Total depreciation and amortisation costs amounted to €27 million in the second quarter, 2% higher compared with last year (Q2 '14: €27 million). Acquisition-related amortisation amounted to €13 million (Q2 '14: €13 million). This relatively flat trend reflects lower amortisation from certain map-making tools that have been fully amortised in 2014, offset by increased amortisation charges mainly relating to our recent acquisitions in Telematics.

Financial income and expenses

The net interest charge for the quarter was €0.2 million compared with a net interest charge of nil in Q2 '14.

The other financial result was a gain of €0.3 million for the quarter, which consisted primarily of a foreign exchange gain on the revaluation of monetary balance sheet items.

Income tax

In Q2 '15, the group recorded an income tax gain of €1.8 million versus an income tax charge of €1.0 million in the same period last year.
